I Need Wisdom (I Kings 3:5-13)

Lord,

I need wisdom as a parent!  I pray for wisdom in dealing with and loving  (child’s name.)   I pray specifically that I would act wisely concerning (a current situation you are facing.)

When You asked Solomon what he wanted You to give him, he answered “give your servant an understanding heart.” (I Kings 3:9)  And this was pleasing in Your sight, Lord.

So I ask You to give me an understanding heart.  Remind me to seek Your wisdom daily, and as a result, I pray that my child would improve and even thrive in his/her life.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and wtihout reproach, and it will be given him.  James 1:5
